How to Become a Christian

Often times the event of accepting Christ into your life gets overcomplicated. Other times, becoming a follower of Christ is confused with living the Christian life. As the old saying goes, "let's not get the cart before the horse."

Becoming a Christ-follower, a disciple of Christ is described in Romans 10:9-13:
[9] because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. [10] For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. [11] For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” [12] For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. [13] For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

It's really about the ABC's of salvation:
A-Admit that you are separated from God by sin, and you are lost without Christ.
B-Believe that God raised Jesus from the dead.
C-Confess that Jesus is Lord.

If you are willing to admit, believe, and confess the above, you can be saved. So, here is the question; "if you were standing before God and He asked, "why should I let you into my Kingdom?" What would you say? God is ready for you to admit, believe, and confess. Will you?
